holla. how’s it been? pretty hot huh? as in sun hot. not hot hot.

went to kuala terengganu last thu (17.01.08). the highway was pretty windy. erm, VERY windy, so popped a novomin, and there u go. a sedated lilin for 10 hours! first thing first wen we reach kuala terengganu … nasi dagang! was pretty nice, wit a big chunk of curry tuna and acar- all for rm2.00 sahaja. cheapo cheapo. checked into the hotel and then… we hit the BEACH! the waves were awesome. nothing like the ones in the straits of malacca. no one dared to play in the sea, but there’s alwiz beach volleyball, soccer and captain ball =)

neways, the trip was all about makan makan makan (they actually bought turtle eggs, urghhhh) and main main main (the boys went to play futsal at 12+am after bbq-ing!). site visit was okay, but the town was kinda weird- cz it’s like a mix of zaman batu architecture and zaman sekarang architecture =S very confusing… but after the kononnya site survey, we went shopping shopping shopping!!! yay!!!

neways, after 2 days in kuala terengganu, off we go to kota bharu. guess wut, we makan-ed nasi dagang again. but the nasi is browner than kuala terengganu’s, so got a bit of variety la (o yea, for all three mornings, we had NASI DAGANG)… huwahhhh….

kelantan was … well… hot! man, the sun was showing off his FULL glory upon us! all of us got sun burnt i tink. or at least 5 shades darker. no kidding. final destination was rantau panjang. supposedly to be the duty free zone, everything there aso so MAHAL! at the end of the day, v bought ice creams and jambu air (can u beliv it? all the way there to buy fruits?!).

but the most interesting thing has yet to happen- on the way bek, we actually saw BABY ELEPHANTS beside the highway! wild elephants dude! cool!!! and they were so cute!!!

by midnite of sunday, we’r bek in penang. and the day after, i guess half of the studio ppl got sick. me inclusive. fever and flu. souvenirs from the east coast =S

despite the fever, and buddy’s sprained and seriously macam elephantisis ankle, we went to join the thaipusam celebration in… er… sumwer in penang. happening weh. so many ppl around, so much huge hindi-song-playing-speakers around and so many people wit piercings around! whooo… even kiddos weh. man… ouch!

spent the whole morning kepo-ing at the fest, came home wit yet another fever bout. padan muka. sakit still wanna go kepo. ><

anyhoo, twas a superb week. cny holiday’s coming soon. may we all have a blast =)

il put another OMG here. being a SO NOT omg person, do notice that my OMG is actually in CAPS! here’s the story:

wednesday. my free day. without lectures, without worries, and best of all, it’s movie day! so after a short spontaneous lecture by one of the new studio masters (which kinda interrupted my plans), my teapot-shaped buddy and i went to town to catch a movie. movie was great. company was great. food was great. everything was really nice (hvn been spending much time wit the formerly piggy but currently teapot buddy, so am rilly enjoying this outing).

next, went to buy tons of groceries (macam aunty). bought a tray of eggs too (how come price of eggs kips skyrocketing ah?), facial cleanser, etc, etc, the usual stuf…

went to teapot’s place to catch another movie and then it’s time to balik rumah.

the way out to the main road was a really straight road, with some intersections. so our good friend sped a little. jz a wee bit. well, who drives at 40kph on a straight road at 2.30am in Malaysia? suddenly, out of the blue, a super donkey dude suddenly jz turn out from one of the junction at supersonic speed. seriously. u dun even hav time to say OMG! yea… anyway, both cars swerved to the opposite directions. having no time to say out loud OMG, i found myself saying ‘how come the brakes didn work ah?’ which came out pretty dumb. considering all the screeching sound we made during the matrix style swerve thing. well, rilly dumb. but i was in shock. plus, i didn get to say OMG! so do excuse me.

neway, wen we calmed down a little, teapot went ‘habislah the eggs’. smart alec me lookd behind and as sure as a brain surgeon said ‘no la, its okay’, and picked up the eggs bag and put ‘em up onto the car seats again. after 5 min, i decided to put the eggs back onto the floor, and thats wen i realised- THERE’S EGG EVERYWER!

desperately, the little egg car entourage went everywer in search of a tap. A TAP! at this ungodly hour! neways, we stopped by a petrol station, and unloadd everything from the back seat so that we can clean up a bit.

imagine the scene. it’s three am in the morning. two dumbos wer seen unloading eggs (freaking broken stinky eggs!) onto the tarmac. one trying to wipe off eggs from the car seats, and the other sorting out the good eggs frm the broken ones. and did i mention we bought a whole pack of toilet paper too? yea man. and to top it all, a bunch of motorist suddenly stopped by the station to visit their fren who’s on the nite shift. awwww… how sweet.how MEMALU-FYING!!!

arghhh, anyway, il spare details abt the conditions of the very malaysian toilet in which i did a lot of washings, and after abt half an hour displaying all the things we bought from tesco bayan lepas on the floor of caltex, we finally decided dat it’s time to go home.

and the little freaking stinky egg car made its way to sungai dua, slowly. so by abt 3.30am, we reached my place and wuts more? it’s time to make hard boiled eggs! whee!!!  

(i duno how on earth am i going to convince my housemates to eat 6 hardboiled eggs tomoro, but didn they say that there’s no point in worrying) =p

haha, neways, hapi awal muharam people. may u hav a better start of the muslim new year than the teapot and i.

and oh, about 17 out of 30 eggs survived the mini accident unscratched. i guess the back seat is indeed a safer place huh?
